Architecture and Permaculture reconnecting to the land
At the basis of sustainability is a beneficial and responsible design of the human habitat, and the potential for this takes place in all human endeavours. The philosophy behind responsible design systems is one of understanding and working with the land rather than against.
Design Philosophy
My design philosophy embraces a way of living, a connection to the earth and its surrounding elements, embodying the passages of sun, wind and rain, and the movement of air on its journey through the internal and external space of life, created through a collection of living spaces influenced from the earth and natures elements, a lifestyle interwoven with simplicity, balance and intrigue inspired by an intuitive awareness of Sacred Geometry.
Sacred Geometry
At the heart of the Ancient Mysteries lies the source of creation, we are now awakening to and remembering these ancient living traditions, the study of geometry has revealed a language of:
- patterns
- size
- shape
- position
- divine proportion known as the five platonic solids
- shapes that activate an inner experience a profound sense of interconnectedness aligning us to the whole.
- the Golden mean or Divine Proportion is the original definition of beauty and perfection in nature, art and architecture, symbolism and the world as we know it.
The Golden Ratio, or Divine Proportion
The Golden Ratio, or Divine Proportion, is the spiral of exsistence, the pattern of creation a biologic and spiritual principle allowing waves of energy to turn around (spiral) and re-enter themsleves (implode), creating perfect compression (fractal) that is necessary for a balanced distribution of energy. Divine Proportion the bond that holds everything together through ratio, resonance, sound and harmony at all levels, from DNA, plants, animals, humans and the solar system, to music, pyramids and hurricanes the golden ratio is in everything.
The Awakening of consciousness sees the ancient way of perceiving reality, a “Reconnection of the Spirit” effecting the way we connect with the land, ourselves and others, food and shelter will be ecologically aware, relating man to his instinctual roots and being, this will be felt through our intuitive levels of awareness, expressed in the order of balance and harmony within the Divine form and space of our living environment.
